"7!!" 9 cried out in shock and raced towards her. Though the jaws had indeed closed above her, she was still visible since they were jaws and nothing else, but attached to each side was a chain mail prison from which she could not escape, clamped onto the frame with bent nails. The jaws remained upright instead of falling down, having trapped the tip of her spear between them which she struggled to get free.
"9, look out!!" 7 screamed as she spotted a flicker of movement behind them. 4 reacted by turning on her optics and dazzling their attacker. The light on the end of 9's staff was enough to light their way through the battle and he used it to distract the Beast, lashing at it while 4 climbed to the top of the metal jaws to try and free 7. She reached her fingers in and put all her strength into it, pulling at the jaws as best she could to try and at least budge them before a sudden attack to her shoulder sent her flying off her perch, crashing to the ground. 9's cry of "4! There's another one!" quickly brought her to and she scrabbled upright, helplessly looking on as the second buzzing Beast came towards her, brandishing its razor-sharp beak at the frozen Stitchpunk ...
